Ramphastos sulfuratus ~

             The Multi-billed toucan lives in the rainforests of the Americas. Its location extends from Mexico through Central America to northern Colombia and northwestern Venezuela. Thought to be common in some places.It is found in rain forests, in forests, secondary vegetation and it is possible the clearing where some trees. It uses the upper stratum of vegetation. Despite its long beak, flies back and forth between the foliage. It frequents the margins of the forest. Is documented to 1600 meters elevation.

The toucan.

The toucans or ranfástidos (Ramphastidae) is a family of birds piciformes that are characterized for possessing a very developed beak and of alive colors. They measure between 18 and 63 cm, being the toucan I touch (Ramphastos I touch) that of major size. The name of this group of birds comes from the tupi tucana, across the Frenchman. They live in the tropical forests, from Mexico up to the north of South America. Some prefer the humid and different forests those of colder lands in altitudes of between 2000 m and 3000 m.
